The County is providing at no-cost, a web-based mapping tool (Esri Redistricting) to enable citizens and community groups to participate in the redistricting process by creating their own maps and plans. These maps and plans will be posted on this website, and made available to the County’s Advisory Redistricting Commission 2021 and Board of Supervisors.
The P.L. 94-171 redistricting data file from the US Census is first delivered to the Statewide Database (SWDB), California’s redistricting database. The SWDB apportions the State’s prison population to their last home address. Once that is completed, the redistricting data is delivered to counties, cities, and special districts.
Redistricting data is estimated to arrive to the county mid-August to mid-September 2021. At that time, the County will make the Esri Redistricting mapping tool available on this website.
