Mapping Software

The County is providing at no-cost, a web-based mapping tool (Esri Redistricting) to enable citizens and community groups to participate in the redistricting process by creating their own maps and plans. The maps and plans submitted by the public will be posted on this website and made available to the County’s Advisory Redistricting Commission 2021 and Board of Supervisors.

We understand that not everyone has the time to learn the Esri Redistricting Software solution. The County will also be accepting plans in any format that the public would like to submit. The County has made several PDF maps available on this site at Maps of Existing Supervisorial Districts that can be marked up and submitted.

You can mark up a paper map and take a picture of your plan and send it by email to redistricting2021@santacruzcounty.us, or just mail the paper map to the following address:

Advisory Redistricting Commission
County Administrative Office

701 Ocean Street, Santa Cruz, CA 95060

You will need to create an account to log into the Esri Redistricting software. Once you log in you can start from the template plan and make changes. Here are some good videos to go over that will provide a little more information on the software.

Due to public noticing requirements we will be accepting plans through this software until November 2nd. After that you can still participate and provide comments on plans until a final plan is adopted.
