Fire:
The fire is still at approximately 3,000 acres
CalFire says the fire is 15% contained.
Quail Hollow Fire is contained
Small fire in La Selva Beach has been contained.

Evacuations
A map of evacuated areas is attached.
People who need help evacuating can call 458-7195 to ask for assistance.

Lower Highland
Buzzard Lagoon
Vaca del Sol
Upper Browns Valley and Avocado
Hazel Dell
Redwood road/Browns Valley Road

Shelter:
12+ people are being sheltered at the Fairgrounds.
200+ horses are being sheltered at the Fairgrounds.

Road closures:
Quail Hollow at Glen Arbor is closed.
Poleline Road @ HW 152
Corallitos Road at Varney
Summit Road east of San Jose/Soquel Road
Corallitos/Hames/Eureka Canyon
Highland @ Mt. Bacci
Mt Madonna @ Hazel Dell

Schools closed due to air quality concerns Friday, 5/23/08:
All Pajaro Unified School District schools
4 County Office of Education community schools

Volunteers
The Volunteer Centers of Santa Cruz County are pre-registering individuals who are interested in providing volunteer support in response to the fire. Individuals can register by calling 831-427-5070 or going to www.scvolunteercenter.org <http://www.scvolunteercenter.org>.

The Red Cross does not accept volunteers at the shelter, so rather than going there to offer to help, people should work through the Volunteer Center.
